Charles D. Broome

Charles Douglas Broome, 71, of Ft. Pierce, FL passed away March 6, 2025.

Charles was born in Knoxville, TN on August 11, 1953 to Charles and Bonnie (York) Broome. After graduating from Ft. Pierce Central High School, Charles served proudly in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne.

Charles’ passions included building model airplanes, visiting Civil War sites and watching Western tv shows.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Broome; he will be forever missed by his daughters, Laura Viles of West Palm Beach, FL, Holly Broome of Port St. Lucie, FL and Shannon Broome of Jacksonville, FL. His memory will be cherished by his grandchildren, Aaron Viles, Landon Viles, Lia Viles, Annalise Martinez, and Theo Chavez. He will be remembered with love by his sister, Linda Broome and his brother, David Broome, both of Ft. Pierce, FL.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Bonnie Broome.

Charles will be laid to rest Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2PM at South Florida National VA Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to a local Veteran’s Organization, Animal Shelter or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Charles’ name.
