Charles "Chuck" Kitzmiller

Charles “Chuck” Kitzmiller, 69, died August 29, 2018in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Kitzmiller was born in Akron, Ohio and moved to Fort Pierce in 1977 coming from Columbus, Ohio.

Prior to moving to St. Lucie County Chuck was employed by the State Department of Education in Columbus, Ohio. He was an Assistant Professor at IRCC/IRSC in the Business Administration and Management Department for 35 years. He always enjoyed teaching and meeting the people in the four county area.

He was a member and served as an officer several times of the Fort Pierce Exchange Club since he moved to Fort Pierce in 1977. He participated and assisted planning 30 Chili Cookoffs. The Fort Pierce Exchange raised over 2 million dollars for the children in St. Lucie County.

He loved his community and had fun visiting with his many friends throughout St. Lucie County.

His favorite past time was walking on the beach.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Lesa Kitzmiller of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Christopher (Susan) Kitzmiller of Akron, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 3-4 PM with a service to follow at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
