Christine Frazier Fowler, 93, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, at Harmony Collection Assisted Living in Roanoke, Virginia. Born on March 11, 1932, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Christine lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the joy she found in simple pleasures.
Christine built a successful career as a corporate secretary for Harbor Federal Savings. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she was deeply involved in her church. For many years, she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce, where she contributed her time and spirit until she was no longer physically able to attend.
Family was at the heart of Christine’s life. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Alan Fowler (Laura) of Moneta, VA and Greg Fowler of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren Rachel Rodzewicz (David) of Henrico, VA, Graham Fowler of Richmond, VA, Anna Fowler of Roanoke, VA, Nicholas Thompson (Jeannette) of Newberry, FL, and Amanda Thompson of Jacksonville, FL; and great-grandchildren Leon and Luke Thompson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Leon Fowler and her daughter Pamela Thompson.
Christine had a gift for making others feel seen and uplifted. She gave the best words of encouragement and always sought to bring a smile to those around her. Her warmth extended into the kitchen—she loved baking and was known far and wide for her egg custard pies, banana pudding, chocolate chip cookies, and banana bread. These treats became cherished traditions among family and friends.
She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren—moments that brought her immense joy throughout the years.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church located at 4500 S. 25th Street in Fort Pierce, Florida. A Celebration of Life service will follow at the same location at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
Christine’s legacy lives on through the love she shared so freely with those around her. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
