Christopher (Chris) James Shay III, 66, passed away on February 13, 2024 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Shay was born on July 13, 1957 in Fort Pierce, Florida. In December of 2000, he met Donna Higgins, and they went on to marry on December 12, 2016. He worked as a firefighter in Saint Lucie County for 6 years prior to meeting his current wife Donna and in his free time he enjoyed playing golf, frisbee golf, and riding his motorcycle. 

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Christopher J. Shay II and Evelyn Lyons Shay.

Chris is survived by 2 Brothers Charles David Shay of Jensen Beach and Patrick John Shay of North Carolina, his wife, Donna Shay of Fort Pierce, FL; his son, Christopher Shay IV of Chattanooga, Tennessee and his partner Kelly Lindberg; his daughters, Catilyn Klarmann and her husband J.J. of Stuart, FL, Deitra Kidwell and her Husband Jimmy of Fort Pierce, FL, and Destiny Jackson of Fort Pierce, FL; his granddaughters, McKenna Klarmann, Fiona Isenburg, Mackenzie Pollard and Avery Jackson all of Fort Pierce, FL; and his grandsons, Owen Klarmann, and Shawn Murray. (who he has raised from 3 months old)

A visitation will be held at Haisley Funeral Home on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 12 PM to 1 PM, with a service to follow at 1 PM.
