Christopher Michael Sorensen, 36, passed away on October 6, 2013.
Chris was born on February 28, 1977 in Stuart, Florida, the son of Michelle Balanzategui and Gregory Sorensen. He was an eight year veteran of Martin County Fire Rescue where he was a firefighter-paramedic. Chris was a loving and devoted father with a great sense of humor and beautiful smile.
He is survived by his children, Christian and Lyla Sorensen of Fort Pierce, FL; parent, Michelle Balanzategui of Fort Pierce, FL; parents, Greg and Irene Sorensen of Fort Pierce, FL; siblings, Theresa Cumpstone of Jacksonville, FL, Kimberly Sorensen of Fort Pierce, FL, David Balanzategui of Fort Pierce, FL, Benjamin Balanzategui of Knoxville, TN, Scott Risk of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Heather Teasley of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandmother, Ann Swink of Cumming, GA; grandfather Lynn Swink of TX; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and his fire department family.

Services: A service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at The Grace Place Church, 1550 SE Salerno Road, Stuart, FL.
