Clara McKenzie Addison, 86, died Saturday, February 11, 2006, at her home.Clara was born January 9, 1920, in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. She came to St. Lucie County in 1926 when her mother was hired as the first principal of White City Elementary School.In 1946, Mrs. Addison and her husband Tod, along with her sister Sibyl Hayes and her husband Bob opened Bob & Tod’s Market in Fort Pierce. Mrs. Addison owned and worked in the family business until her retirement in 2000.Surviving are daughter, Sylvia A. Noble and her husband, Rick; son, Michael Addison and his wife, Susan and son, Ronald Addison; sister, Jacqueline Rumple and her husband, John of Vero Beach; four grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.Friends who wish may contribute to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
