Clarence James Michael, 88, died September 19, 2010 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Michael was born in Ferguson, Missouri and moved to Ft. Pierce a year ago coming from Branchburg, New Jersey.

Clarence graduated in 1959 from Rutgers University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. He worked for Johnson & Johnson as an accountant for over 35 years before retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post #284 in Whitehouse, New Jersey, served as a Merchant Marine during WWII and was also a member of the American Merchant Marine Veterans.

Survivors include his daughter, Patricia (Ed) Ruby of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Francis Michael of Canada; sisters, Agatha DeYoreo of Massachusetts and Veronica Frierdich of Kansas; 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Vincent and Erwin Michael and sisters, Irene Gordon and Mildred Chattillion.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Creature Safe Place, 4500 McCarty Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34945.

Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 5-7 PM with a Wake Service at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
