Mr. Malchow was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1981, coming from Miami, Florida.He was a retired pilot for Eastern Airlines.Mr. Malchow served in the US Air Force during WWII and the Korean Conflict and flew one of the first planes into West Berlin delivering food supplies. He was awarded numerous medals and citations. He also flew for Texaco being the first pilot to land a sea plane on the Rio Tigre/Amazon. He retired from Eastern Airlines after 15 years of service.Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Malchow of Fort Pierce, FL and sister, Sissie Freund of Oceanside, California.
