Clarence “Clem” Townsend, 71, passed away on April 17, 2016 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Townsend was born in New Albany, Indiana and moved to Fort Pierce in 1979.
He was a pipefitter for fire sprinklers and prior to retirement, he worked at the Juvenile Detention Center in Fort Pierce. He loved working on racing tractors, enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and antiquing. He loved talking to people and never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Townsend of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Diane (Anthony) Thompson of Indiana and Julie (Raymond) Lambert of Indiana; son, Joshua (Tonya) Sorensen of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Alesha Skaggs, Jeremy Smith, LexAnn Kaiser, Ashley McGuire, Joe Lambert, Samantha Smith and Kaiden Sorensen; great-grandchildren, Trinity Skaggs, Jayden Skaggs, Michael McGuire, Victoria McGuire, Lucas Kaiser, and Emma Lambert. He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Townsend.

Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4-6 PM with a service to follow at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
