CLAUDE THAD JOHNSON

Claude Thad Johnson, 65, died September 1, 2012 in Glenwood, Georgia.
Claude was born in Glenwood, Georgia and lived in Fort Pierce for 43 years before moving back to Glenwood over a year ago.

He retired after 20 years of dedicated service as a security officer for Coggin Automotive, was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Johnson of Glenwood, GA; daughters, Hope Laskowitz and Susan Johnson, both of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Sandy Payton of Danville, GA, Faye Smith of Glenwood, GA and Anne West of Mt. Vernon, GA; grandchildren, Cheyenne Johnson and Shane Johnson; sisters-in-law, Jerri Lombardi, Dorothy Jandreau and Loretta Milton; and brother-in-law, Harry Adams. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude W. and Bessie Johnson, grandson, Travis Laskowitz and sister, Barbara Andrews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Claude’s memory to Community Hospice, 904 Mt. Vernon Road, Vidalia, GA 30474.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a Service on Friday, September 7th at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the White City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
