Clifford E. “Gene” Barker, 84, died September 25, 2018 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Barker was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida.
Gene was a Veteran of the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked for 45 years at Dandee Bread and was known as “Gene the Bread Man”. He was an avid Snook fisherman and very devoted to his family.
Survivors include his daughter, Glenda Mancil of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Steve (Cheri) Barker of Fort Pierce, FL, Darrell (Brenda) Barker of Cookeville, TN and Tim Bliss of Fort Pierce, FL; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Barker.
Services: Visitation will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
