Clifford James Berger, 88, died on January 15, 2011 in Fort Pierce, FL.
Mr. Berger was born in Carney, Michigan, lived in Kingsford, MI, and was a winter resident in Fort Pierce, FL for 30 years.
He owned and operated Berger’s Food Land Grocery in Kingsford, MI from 1958-1974, a WWII Veteran serving in the European Theatre with the US Army, and a VFW Life Member. He was a devoted family man. He worked for both Sears and Winn Dixie in Fort Pierce, FL for several years.
Survivors include his wife, of 63 years, Ann Berger of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Gary & Christine Berger of Port St. Lucie, FL, Don & Rita Berger of Hancock, MI, Randy & Fern Berger of Aurora, CO and Dale & Linda Berger of Brookfield, WI; brothers, Robert Berger of Marquette, MI, Arnold Berger of Panama City, FL, and Eugene Berger of Iron Mountain, MI; sister, Ethel Sicard of Appleton, WI; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman Berger and Clarence Berger and his sister, Helen Trudell.

Services: A local gathering will be held January 20 from 5-7PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be conducted Saturday January 29, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain, MI.
