Colleen Vachon Ring

Colleen Vachon Ring, 55, died August 21, 2008 in Vero Beach, Florida.Mrs. Ring was born in Huntington, New York and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1972 coming from Babylon, New York and then moved to Vero Beach in 2003.Colleen was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, worked at East Coast Lumber for 30 years leaving as C.F.O. with the company. She was the Past President of the American Business Women’s Association, Past President of St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce, First Woman Commodore of the Pelican Yacht Club serving from 1990-1991, and she also wrote and published “Create Your Health Attitudes” in 2005.Survivors include her husband, Stephen Ring of Vero Beach, FL; son, Patrick Vachon and fiancé, Jodie Barwick of Vero Beach, FL; brothers, Kevin and Shawn Meany both of Ft. Pierce, FL; mother, Carolyn Meany of Vero Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, John E. Meany.Memorial contributions may be made to The Exchange Club C.A.S.T.L.E, 3525 W. Midway Rd, Ft Pierce, FL 34981 or to the VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.Services: Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 5-8 PM with a Wake Service at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the Old City Hall, 315 Avenue A, Ft. Pierce.
