On Thursday, December 24, 2O20, Compton Davis, my beloved husband passed away at the age of 69 following a brief struggle with Pneumonia.
Compton was born on August 12, 1951 in Georgetown, Guyana to Frank and Rosie Davis. He received his education in Guyana and found employment in various fields, including hotel management; for which he earned a degree in the United Kingdom. Compton’s management skills and education eventually led him to become the owner and manager of a Mining company.
On September 26, 1981, Compton married Patricia Fung. She meant everything to him and their love for each other was unending and their marriage prevailed for over 39 years until his passing. He was the loving father of one son Frank, daughter-in-law Debbie, and grandson, Ezekiel who was GrandPa's favorite 'luv'; all reside in Georgetown, Guyana. He has one sister, Ruby Ebel who resides in Germany. Compton was preceded in death by his father, Frank, his mother, Rosie and his brother, David.
Compton was known for his quick wit, his charm, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit and positive attitude. He loved all his relatives, friends and neighbors and never shied away from lending a helping hand. He was a very special person who made a huge impact on so many lives in a positive way and his loss will be felt by all who knew him.
