Connie Keller

June 20, 1942 — March 11, 2023

Port St. Lucie

Constance M. Jones Keller, known as Connie, Mom or Grandma to those who loved her, passed peacefully on March 11, 2023, at her home in Port St. Lucie, FL at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Keller II and her supportive partner, Les Campbell. Connie was born on June 20, 1942 to parents Benjamin Jones and Delores Malia in Sharon, PA.

She met her husband, Frank in high school, and they raised their family in Erie, PA, where she saw each of her children go off to college and life adventures. Connie became a 3rd grade teacher at Summit Central after graduating from Villa Maria College. She always liked to joke that she “never left the 3rd grade” and yet through those years of educating, she touched the hearts and inspired the minds of so many children.

Upon retirement, Connie and Frank followed their children to the Sunshine state, where they vacationed throughout their life. After Frank’s passing, she eventually met her life partner, Les Campbell. Their years of hosting Christmases and spoiling grandchildren while their terrier, Rocky, energetically played – will live on in the memories of the family. Connie was a proud cancer survivor who loved to talk and made friends wherever she’d go. As selfless and inquisitive as one could be, she loved to sit at the kitchen table and ask questions or share a laugh with her loved ones every chance she got. These long talks were usually accompanied by some sort of dessert or pastry because Connie had an undeniable sweet tooth.

Connie is survived by her children: Kimberly and her husband, Bart, Kenneth, Frank and wife, Alison; grandchildren, Christina, Jordan and wife, Carolyn, Frankie and wife, Casey, Cassandra, and Ryan, and many great grandchildren and other loving family members.

Above all, Connie loved her family deeply and always made sure to end a phone call with words of affirmation and the phrase, “keep having fun.” She made each and every person in her life feel truly cared for and that is one special trait that can never be forgotten.
