Constance Psaltis Fortney, 89, died December 6, 2010 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Fortney was born in Rockford, Illinois and moved to Ft. Pierce 27 years ago coming from Miami, Florida.
She worked as regional manager for Child’s World Books before retiring from the Miami-Dade Board of Education. She was active in the Fort Pierce Women’s Club Bridge Group and the St. Anastasia Bridge Group.
Survivors include her daughters, Jini Kotar of Tuscon, AZ and Rebecca VanCordt of Vero Beach, FL; son, Robert Hale of Vero Beach, FL; sister, Virginia Russell of Virginia Beach, VA; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Fortney and grandson, Robert Harrison.
