Constantino “Gus” Politis, 82, died August 6, 2005, in Fort Pierce, Florida.Mr. Politis was born in New York City, New York, and came to Fort Pierce in 1978.A veteran of the Air Force during WWII, he then served in law enforcement in New York for 25 years. Following his retirement he came to Fort Pierce where he served as a deputy in the Sheriff’s Department for 10 years.He wanted it known that his strong, sure faith and trust in the Lord gave him much comfort and Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997.He was preceded in death by his sister, Olga Zollo and brother, James Politis.Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Politis of Fort Pierce, Fl; daughter, Constance Smyth of Redington Shores, Fl. And stepdaughter, Susan Fangman of Grapevine, Tx; sons, Alexander Politis of Largo, Fl and Michael Politis of Pearl River, NY; sisters, Julie Harding of Delray Beach, Fl, Niki Jacovides of Mission Viejo, Ca. and Cally Chaconas of Flushing, NY and six grandchildren.
