Corey James Todd, 37 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on August 4, 2016.
Corey was born in Hollywood, Florida where he attended Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School. He moved to Port Saint Lucie in 1995.
He began working at the St. Lucie Sheriff’s Office in 1998. Corey was a dedicated Deputy for 18 years. He retired from the department on February 22, 2016.
Corey was a beloved husband and father. His family came before everything. Corey’s two boys were his pride and joy.
Corey is survived by his wife, Wendi and 2 sons; Brian Hoyt and Christopher Justin; mother, Deborah Stephens; father, Vincent Stephens and his brother, Walter (Amanda) Edwin Todd, as well as aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and several friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ann Marie Smyden; brothers, Brian Eric, Ronald Scott and his father in law, Hoyt Woods.
