Curtis Mack Hancock
May 25, 1958- September 5, 2015

Curtis is survived by his sisters Patricia (Mark) Davis, Peggy (David) Souza, and Pamela Muse (Bob McKinlay); nieces, Anna Davis and Monica Erickson; nephews, Mazagan Sietsma and James Souza. He was preceded in death by his father Curtis D. Hancock Jr. and his mother Maxine O'Gwin Hancock.

He was born in San Antonio, Texas and lived in Long Beach, Mississippi; New Orleans, Louisiana; Wichita, Kansas; Fort Pierce and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

He completed two years of college at Indian River Community College and worked over the years as a cosmetologist, for the State of Florida Agriculture Department, and as a Customer Service Representative for an imported automobile repair shop.

Curtis loved his family, his friends, his dogs, and his cats. He also loved gourmet cooking, sailing his Hobie Cat, snorkeling and diving the reefs off of Fort Pierce, the Abacos, and the Florida Keys. He had a green thumb like his Grandma Hancock and gardening and grafting citrus and fruit trees. He loved to dance and he loved music, especially Nirvana and the Foo Fighters. He adored New Orleans and enjoyed their food, music, and plantations. He loved Mercedes Benz automobiles, Ralph Lauren clothing, nice jewelry, and art glass. He loved reading, especially Stephen King and Dean Koontz.

Curtis had a fun loving spirit, an infectious smile, and was even named a local People Pleaser by the News Tribune. He was proud of the fact that he was a Math Superstar and an excellent writer.

Curtis was blessed to have had three sisters who loved him very much. His sisters were equally as blessed to have had a brother who loved them very much. We will all miss you brother.

There will be a private family memorial service followed by the scattering of his ashes over the beautiful reefs of Fort Pierce's North Beach.
