Dale John Schofield, age 71, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away August 10, 2015 in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was born February 10, 1944 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
He attended Central Michigan University. His hobbies were walking, golfing, sailing and enjoying a glass of wine with his friends. He was co-owner of Michigan Transmission and Equipment Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan; and co-owner of T.R. Salesgroup, Inc. in Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Frances (Bingham) Schofield of Farwell, Michigan. Survivors include his wife, Charla; his son, David of Jupiter, Florida; his daughter, Lori (Steve) French of Columbus, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Sara and Abigail French of Ohio, and Elizabeth (Hayden) Lee, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; one great grand daughter, Emma Lee. A brother, Larry (Nancy) Schofield of Farwell, Michigan; two sisters, Janet (Tom) Rupp of Brooksville, Florida and Linda (Art), Denton, Petoskey, Michigan.
He will be remembered for his most successful accomplishment in his favorite role as husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend and associate. He had a very serious approach to things but his humor was his most outstanding attribute.
