Daniel M. Boggess
Daniel Mason Boggess passed away peacefully in his home in Ft. Pierce in early June. Dan was born on 2/16/57. He joined the Air Force in 1980 and served for six years as a technician in cryptography and electronics. After working at Dynalco Controls in Fort Lauderdale, he started working at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute in 1989 as an Electronics Technician in the Marine Operations Division. He qualified as a pilot for the Johnson Sea Link submersibles in 1994. Dan left HBOI as an engineer in 2012 and retired later that year. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and siblings and is interred at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. No services are planned. Dan will always be remembered for his “transcendental hucksterism”, guitar playing, quick wit, and love for humanity.
