Darla Fay Hulbert

Darla Fay Hulbert, 84, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away surrounded by her beloved family December 22, 2022.

Darla was born in 1938 to Theodore and Mary Tallman. She graduated from East Detroit High School and worked for many years in the restaurant industry as a server and hostess. She married the love of her life, Donald on October 31, 1965, in Rensselaer, NY. Together they raised 4 children.

Darla loved sports including, roller skating, skiing, ice skating, bowling, NASCAR racing, and the New York Yankees baseball team. She loved to relax by knitting or sitting out by her pool.

Darla was affectionately known by her loving grandchildren and beloved great-grandchildren as Gam Gam, Gramy, Gigi, and her favorite times were those spent with them.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Donald; children, William Lindner and his wife Debbie Lindner of Cary, NC, Angel Lewis and her husband Patrick Lewis of Port St. Lucie, FL, Douglas Hulbert and his wife Karen Hulbert of Williston, VT, Daniel Hulbert and his wife Tracy Hulbert of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Kyle Lindner of Cary, NC, Nicole Harmsen of Wilmington, NC, Christina Haines of Ft. Pierce, FL, Lauren Harvey of Ft. Pierce, FL, Tyler Hulbert of Georgia, VT, Shae Hulbert of Alexandria, VA, Ali Ghaffari of Gambrills, MD, Komron Ghaffari of Telluride, CO, Angelina Hulbert of London, England, Mia Hulbert of Port St. Lucie, FL and Cody Hulbert or Port St. Lucie, FL, and great-grandchildren, Carter Lindner of Cary, NC, Hadley Haines and Wilder Haines of Ft. Pierce, FL, Tatum Harvey and Emerson Harvey of Ft. Pierce, FL, Rarity Hulbert and Spoke Hulbert of Georgia, VT, Reyna Ghaffari, Kaelyn Ghaffari and Natalie Ghaffari of Gambrills, MD, and Aspen Ghaffari and Axel Ghaffari of Telluride, CO; beloved and constant companion, her Shih Tzu, Kya; brother, Terry Duffiney of St. Claire, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Theodore Tallman, and brother, Ted Duffiney.

Memorial donations may be made to any charities chosen by her loving friends and family, or as Darla would say, “whatever, whatever”.

A memorial gathering will be conducted December 27, 2022 from 3PM to 5PM with a prayer service to start at 5PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
