David “Dave” Alan Laprocina, 53, died December 12, 2008 in Jensen Beach, Florida.
Dave was born in Warren, Ohio, and was a resident of the Treasure Coast since 1989, coming from Warren, Ohio.
He was an officer for 7 years at Howland Township Police Department in Ohio, retired from the Port St. Lucie Police Department in 2004 after serving 15 years, was Past President of the FOP with the Port St. Lucie Police Department and was a Field Training Officer for 12 years.
Dave is survived by his daughters, Lisa Higgins of Port St. Lucie, FL. and Paula Laprocina of Jensen Beach, FL; son-in-law, Matt Higgins of Port St. Lucie, FL; brothers, Patrick Laprocina of New Port Richey, FL and Anthony Laprocina of Warren, OH; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Carrie Laprocina.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dave’s memory to the FOP Lodge #118, P. O. Box 7659, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952.
A Gathering will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at the Family Center of Haisley Funeral Home.
