David G. Nelson, 44, died February 25, 2008 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Mr. Nelson was born in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. He was a resident of Port St. Lucie since 2000.He loved to surf and was known as “Diamond Dave the Wave Pirate”.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Nelson of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Kristen Most of Ft. Pierce, FL; sister, Cynthea Michie of Lake Worth, FL; mother, Carol Ohlson of GA; father, Oris Nelson of Ft. Pierce, FL. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pauline Holtz.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Surfrider Foundation, P.O. Box 6010, San Clemente, CA 92674.Services: A gathering will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 10-11 AM at Southside Baptist Church with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM at Southside Baptist Church. In his memory a “Paddle Out” will be held on March 13, 2008 at 5:30 PM at the Ft. Pierce Inlet State Park.
