David Lawrence Glover, 81, died October 27, 2008 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Mr. Glover was born in Gifford, Florida and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1948 coming from Gifford.
David proudly served in the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marines. He worked for the Golden River Groves in Vero Beach and was a member of the Operating Engineer Union of Alaska. He attended local schools throughout his life.
Survivors include his wife, Sally H. Glover of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Davina Rucker of Ft. Pierce, FL, Cathy Guinn of Port St. Lucie, FL, Lynn Gay Bostwick of Okeechobee, FL, and Lana Cotton of St. Ignace, MI; son, Terry Young of Gainesboro, TN; brother, Daniel Glover of Colorado; sisters, Audrey Walker of West Palm Beach, FL, Ernestine Gorman of Ocala, FL, Grace Beatty of Ft. McCoy, FL, and Jennifer Glover of Vero Beach, FL; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Stuart, Gene and Dick Glover.
