Dean Halsey, 89, died July 7, 2010 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Halsey was born in Charlotte, Michigan and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1981.

Dean was a well respected master carpenter. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII , received 5 Bronze Stars, and was in the Company A 814th Engineer Aviation Battalion. He was the youngest son of 18 siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dorothy J. Halsey of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Stephanie Reid of Ft. Pierce, FL and Deana Hamel of Kiel, WI; son, Michael Halsey of Ft. Pierce, FL; sisters, Ila Burnett of Olivet, MI and Ola Burnett of Charlotte, MI; 8 grandchildren, Jarvy, Dean, Ben and Lex Reid, Matt and Sarah Halsey all of Ft. Pierce, FL and Emily Wendling of Lexington, KY and Gina Sprague of West Palm Beach, FL.
