Deborah (Yale) Tubeck-Brooks

It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Deborah (Yale) Tubeck-Brooks (68) of Fort Pierce, Florida on May 25, 2023.  She was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed immensely.

Debbie/Deb was born on November 28, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia to Paul and Joan Yale.  She spent her childhood years in Manchester, Connecticut and attended Manchester High School where she was a dedicated student and described as a “teacher’s dream”.  Following graduation, she moved south to St. Lucie County, which became her home for 50+ years. She earned her Associates Degree in Childhood education and spent a large portion of her career as a teacher at Maitland Farm Preschool.

She loved and adored her family, and cherished spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. You could always find her coloring, crafting, putting together puzzles, and just spending quality time with her grandbabies. Celebrations and gatherings with those closest to her were always something she enjoyed and her love of baking always showed the most during the holidays.  Her friends will remember her as someone who always had time for a chat, walk, or lunch outing where she would give her undivided attention.  She loved being outdoors at the beach or hiking and especially enjoyed exploring the Treasure Coast and the New England area when visiting family.  Her kindness always radiated in everything she did.  She was loved dearly by so many and will be forever missed. 

Deborah is survived by husband Gary Brooks, son Lukas (Kristin) Tubeck, step-daughter Katy Brooks, grandchildren Gabriel Almeida, Aiden & Karli Fontana, and Connor & Hadley Tubeck; brothers Paul (Cheryl) Yale and Stephen Yale, sister Janet Yale (Bud) Walstedt, and niece Lindsay Sutherland.

She is preceded in death by her mother Joan Yale, father Paul Yale, and uncle Richard Yale.

A gathering to celebrate Deborah’s life will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 1 PM to 3 PM at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, Florida.
