Denise Kay (Rodgers) Waddell

Denise Kay Waddell, 59, died October 7, 2016 in Fort Pierce, Florida. Ms. Waddell was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and moved to Florida in 1974.

She held many administrative positions, was a clerk of Martin County Circuit Court for several years, and most recently a head cashier at a local retail store. In the past she did volunteer work for underprivileged children and at a community food bank. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter.

Survivors include mother, Judy Vaughn of Fort Pierce, FL; father, Hardy Waddell of South Carolina; daughter, Rebecca Johnson of Port St. Lucie, FL; son-in-law, Dwayne Johnson of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Angela Waddell of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Ricky Waddell of Moyock, NC; granddaughters, Emma Johnson and Stella Johnson of Port St. Lucie, FL and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shiela Waddell; her brother, Buddy Waddell and her stepfather, Chuck Vaughn.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 2-4 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
