Dick William Mcmanus

Mr. McManus was born in Poughkeepsie, New York and came to Fort Pierce sixty-nine years ago from Poughkeepsie, New York. Mr. McManus was the Owner & Operator of McManus Seafood in Fort Pierce, Florida for eighteen years. He was also a Commercial Fisherman, a Local 630 Plumber and in the Pipefitter’s Union. He was a member of New Life Christian Center.Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Martha Keen McManus of Fort Pierce, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Dietrich & Debbie McManus of Fort Pierce, Florida; son, Michael McManus of Fort Pierce, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Diedre & Hugh Hancock of Sebastian, Florida; daughter, Margaret McManus of Fort Pierce, Florida; sister, Gail Svec of Fort Pierce, Florida; ten grandchildren, Brittney, Alida, Carrie, Christopher, Stephanie, Baily, Hillary, Dale, Jennifer and Jeremy; eight great grandchildren; cousin, Dr. William Meyer of Fort Pierce, Florida; and preceded in death by his son, Kent McManus.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Treasure Coast, PO Box 1748, Fort Pierce, Florida 34954.
