Donald E. Curtin

December 31, 1943 — October 1, 2019

Donald E. Curtin, 75 of St. Lucie West, FL., passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on October 1st.

Don is survived by his beloved Wife, Karin M. Curtin, his son, Christopher F. Curtin and his cherished Grandchildren, Christopher R. Curtin and Brad P. Curtin. of Scottsdale, AZ. His daughter, Amy E. Curtin and her partner, Michael T. McAuliffe III of Rockland, MA. His Stepson, Mark A. Koenig and his partner Melissa Lawrence and his cherished step grandson Nicholas A. Koenig of Chicago, IL.

Don was preceded in death by his father Donald Curtin and his mother Olive Edmonds Curtin.

Don was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone and will be missed greatly.

Don attended Arlington High School (MA) and Burdett college in Boston.
Don grew his successful career at Dana Farber Cancer institute for over 35 years. Growing up, he enjoyed summering on Bass river, Cape Cod.

Don had a passion for sports, especially football, where his favorite team was the New England Patriots. He also won many awards over the years playing his favorite sports, Tennis, and especially golf. He played Golf for many years at the Duxbury Yacht Club (MA), and at Admirals Cove in Jupiter (FL). He had a passion for golf and he made many close friends for life playing the game. Don was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and fun spirit.

Don loved to travel with his wife, especially cruises. He enjoyed following the stock market, gardening and landscaping his yard beautifully. He loved being a Dad and had a soft spot for all of his pets, especially his loyal German Shepard, Bismarck.
