Mr. Hodge was born in Princeton, Illinois where he lived until he moved to Ft. Pierce in 1958.
Mr. Hodge was a professional wallpaper hanger and painter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII, member of American Legion Post 40 and of the local VFW. He was also a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church where he served as head usher for many years. His favorite pastime was playing golf.Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lynne & John T. Chandler of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Dona & Brian Hildebrand of Princeton, IL; grandchildren, Melissa & Jim Bendel of Gainesville, Matthew & Leeann Chandler of Winter Park, FL, Jeffrey Chandler of Gainesville, FL, Gwyn Gustafson of New York City, NY and Ryan Gustafson of South Bend, IN; and four great-grandchildren.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews School, 210 S. Indian River Drive, Ft. Pierce, FL 34950.
