DONALD E. JACOBSON
Donald “Jake” E. Jacobson, 85, died March 5, 2010, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and relocated to Florida in the 1960’s.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate, First Class in the South Pacific.
He moved to St. Lucie County in the 1960’s where he opened the Jacobson Dodge dealership. Many of his other business ventures included Jacobson Real Estate of Ft. Pierce, Inc. and The Jetty Lounge. He was a lifetime member of the Ft. Pierce Elks #1520 and a member of Meadowood Country Club for over 25 years.
Survivors include his dearest friend and companion, Phyllis “Scoti” McAllister; son, Tom Jacobson; sister, Marlene Walters and brothers, Arnold Jacobson and Roger Jacobson; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Merilee I. Jacobson, son, Dean C. Jacobson and daughter, Barbara C. Worl and sister, Gloria Bergsten.

A Gathering will be held on Monday, March 8th from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel. A Service will be held on Tuesday, March 9th at 4:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church.
