Donald Joseph Buttenberg

Donald Joseph Buttenberg, 88, died February 28, 2008 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mr. Buttenberg was born in Orange, New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1987 residing in Panther Woods Country Club.
Don graduated from West Orange High School in 1938 and then went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University. He served in the U.S. Army 88th Infantry Division and was awarded the bronze star. Don worked for the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. for 35 years serving in various sales management assignments around the country and retired as the Zone Glass Sales Manager for the Northeast.Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Christina Buttenberg of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Donna Lilly of Raleigh, NC, Deborah Sacks of Greenwich, CT, Heidi Buttenberg of Reno, NV and Katherine Buttenberg of Honey Brook, PA; son, Kris Buttenberg of Reno, NV; 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Buttenberg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA of Florida, 2400 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, FL 34996.Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 4-6 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark’s Catholic Church.
