Skip was preceded in death by his parents: Donald M. Horton, Sr. and Jean R. Horton. Skip is survived by his wife Carmen Horton, stepchildren Stacey Ebright, Adrienne and Ryan Wallace, his sisters Mandy Horton Walker and Esther Jean Horton, niece Sarah Edwards Lubinski, nephew Lee Edwards, and the Reed, Gordh, Morris, and Horton families.

Skip was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of an engineer and a teacher. He lived in Bradenton, Sarasota, and Fort Pierce, as a fourth generation Floridian. He worked on the survey crew for Freeman H. Horton and Associates before establishing his Mobile Welding business. His artistic talents included playing a variety of instruments, especially the guitar, and working as a professional artist in various media, including metal sculpture. Skip loved his native Florida where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, sailing and swimming.

The family wishes to thank you for your loving concern. We also thank the Rev. Dr. David L. Thomas and the staff and volunteers of the Treasure Coast Hospice House of Fort Pierce for their support.
