Donald S. Gabberty

Mr. Gabberty was born in New York and has been a resident of Fort Pierce since 1969, coming from Ilion, New York.He retired after 20 years with the City of Fort Pierce Public Works Department, was employed by McArthur Dairy prior to the City for 4 years, was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, serving as an usher, was a member of the Knights of Columbus #3416, Fort Pierce, 3rd degree and the Santa Lucia Assembly of Knight of Columbus, 4th degree, was a long time member of Indian Hills Golf & Country Club, served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict “Battleship New Jersey”, was a member of AM Vets, Elks Lodge and former member of the Fort Pierce Lions Club.Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus #3416 Building Fund, Attn: Pete Simone, 2046 South U. S. #1, Fort Pierce, Florida 34950.Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Betty Gabberty of Fort Pierce, Fl; daughter, Donna Lee Summers of Brunswick, Ga; sister, Ruth Goldstein of Fort Pierce, Fl; and sister, Jane Gabberty of Arizona, grandchildren, Mark Borchers and Michael Richardson. He was predeceased by Albert Gabberty, Jr. and Charles Gabberty.
