Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Maddy Short of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Joshua Lee Short of Frederick, MD and Jesse Tyler Short of Cumberland, MD; step-sons, Andrew of Cumberland, MD, Robert and Jason both of Port St. Lucie, FL and Michael of Cumberland, MD; grandchildren, Ayden Lee , Aliyah, Nevaeh, Michael, Cameron, Xhaena, Aleta, Ayana, Andrew, Alex, Alyana, and Abrielle; sister, Kimberly Twig of Chestertown, MD and step-mother, Geraldine Short. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lee Short, Sr. and mother, Sue Dolores Short.
