In loving memory of Donald Michael Stanzione 66, resident of Port St. Lucie(15years) who passed unexpectedly December 1, 2018.
Born on December 16, 1951 in Newark New Jersey. Donald was a south Florida resident for 22 years.
Survived by wife Louise -3 children, Yada, Yadon, Tohorah. When he married Louise, he raised her six children with her. Lisa Holtz Gingras - Andrea Holtz Gregoire - Joanna Holtz Alexander- Rebecca Holtz Clinton - Matthew Holtz - Sarah Holtz. With step children he had 25 grandchildren
Survived by siblings, Edna, Robert , Richard ,Neil, Nick, Karen and Jimmy(deceased).
Two sons by first marriage to Denise Marcel, Donald and Joseph with, 4 grandchildren.
Donald was known by his immense hard work, generosity and care for all those in his life.
In his young adult life he enjoyed baseball and basketball alongside his brother Nick. He pitched semi-pro baseball for two years. He would say sports taught him how to win.
He enjoyed traveling which recently he was able to travel to Europe (Italy, Greece and Turkey) and Costa Rica. He enjoyed boating and fishing with his son.
His belief in God and reading daily the scriptures-was lived out every day of his life. life. He lived his life as a God-fearing man. Many, many times he would comment “now that was God” referring to anything he could have taken credit for. He was a deep spiritual man and lived his life by caring for those around him which also extended to his firm belief in caring for orphans, fatherless and widows. James 1:27. He reached out and helped the needy as well as all around him. A deep giving man who Enjoyed working hard to provide for others.
All his children were a deep inner part of his emotional well-being and the union of all these children was all he wanted and spoke often about and he saw this happening before he left us. One of his sayings was “if there’s a will—there’s a way” Donald will be sadly and forever missed. He will remain in our lives and hearts forever. All those that knew him will carry his memory of his character with them. He will be sadly missed.
A gathering will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 11AM to 1PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34984. A graveside service will be held at 1:30PM at White City Cemetery.
