Joshua R Lorah, grandson ( wife Amanda and great grandsons Jaxson and Maddox)

Dorothy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She lived blissfully in her beloved Hobe Sound, Florida for more than 34 years at Lakeside Village and attended First United Methodist Church of Hobe Sound. She remained active through her final days. She faced her amazing life with fortitude and gratitude, with great faith and conviction in all she did. With her husband, Irv, they raised three loving children; Sandra, Dallas and Susan.
She had a close network of friends, her group of “bingo buddies” and everyone that she knew at Lakeside Village. For that matter, she knew so many people in Hobe Sound that she just never met a stranger.
She loved and lived her life to the fullest, embracing each day with an amazing attitude toward all she did. It wasn’t about possessions, it was about the gift of life and who you share it with.
There was never a time you would call her that you would not get a joyful response on the other end.
Always there for anyone with a listening ear, a helping hand, and a willingness to give and care from her heart.
We are joyful that we had her here on earth, grateful that she is reunited with Dad in heaven and happy to know she will always be looking down on us, encouraging us to be the best we can be as we live in her beautiful memory.

A memorial service will be scheduled in March of 2016 to be held at her church.
