Dorothy C. McDonnell, 71, died January 23, 2010, in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Dorothy was born in Flushing, New York, and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1986, coming from Long Island, NY.
She retired from Aero-Trades Aircraft Company after 28 years as a bookkeeper, was a member of the Elkettes in Fort Pierce and The Red Hat Ladies of Tropical Isles.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S. E. Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 39 years, John McDonnell; son, Kevin Snyder; daughter, Karen Diebold; sister, Lorraine Platt; stepsons, Jack, Kevin and Terrence; stepdaughter, Colleen Sanders and two grandsons.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 28th from 4 to 6:00 PM followed by a Service at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held on Friday, January 29th at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
