Dorothy Magdalene Sturgeon Curry
Dorothy Magdalene Sturgeon Curry, 94, of Ft. Pierce, FL, died on December 19, 2009, at Treasure Coast Hospice House. Dot, born on September 6, 1915, to Lawrence and Katherine Sturgeon in Youngstown, Ohio, was the second of five children. They were very close growing up and considered each other friends as well as siblings. Dorothy married Joseph Curry on August 28, 1946. She worked as a beautician, though focused mostly on raising her two daughters.
She is survived by her daughters Bonnie Bigger and Joanne Hearn (Ft. Pierce); her grandchildren Steven Hearn and his wife, Kim (Pt. St. Lucie), Summer Hearn (Ft. Lauderdale), and Jason Bigger (Ft. Pierce); her great-grandchildren Derek, Reagen, and Chad Hearn (Pt. St. Lucie); her sisters Margaret (Peg) Zimmerman (Canfield, OH) and Gertrude (Gert) Dietz (New Castle, PA). She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her parents, Lawrence and Katherine, her sister, Mary Skovira, and her brother, William Sturgeon.

Services: A Graveside Service will be held Monday December 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
