Dorothy Eileen (Kaley) Nelson

Dorothy Eileen (Kaley) Nelson, 96, died November 2, 2015 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Kouts, Indiana and resided in Fort Pierce.
She graduated from Kewanna High School in 1937 as Valedictorian, worked at the Kewanna Library from 1937-1941, was employed by the Singer Manufacturing Co. in South Bend, Indiana from 1941-1955, leaving as executive secretary. She then held a similar position with Mastic Co. in South Bend, Indiana from 1955-1963 and 1965-1982 when she retired. She passed the National test for Certified Public Secretary in 1959. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Rochester, Indiana and of Lakewood Park United Methodist Church in Fort Pierce.
Survivors include her brother, Robert G. Kaley of Greely, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Nelson, parents, George & Ersa Kaley, brothers, Tad, John and Thomas Enyeart.

Inurnment will take place in New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle, Indiana under the direction of Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 South Filbert Street, New Carlisle, IN 46552.
