Dorothy R. Russ, 99, died July 22, 2023 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Mrs. Russ was born in Haiti and resided in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Dorothy graduated from St. Lucie High School in 1941 and then went on to graduate from Indian River Community College with her LPN degree in 1975. 

Survivors include her 5 children, David (Junko) Jones of San Jose, CA, Susan (William) Myers of Fort Pierce, FL, Glenn (Rebecca) Jones of Fort Pierce, FL, Bruce Jones of Fort Pierce, FL, and Joyce (Calvin) Baxter of Edgewater, FL; grandchildren, Laura (James) Percy, Jennifer Myers, Erin (Brian) Fogal, Bryce (Dawn) Jones, Carly (Steven) Maide, Logan Jones, Naomi Gates, Keith (Carlia) Alderman, Kelly Alderman, and Rachel (Blake) Cochran; great-grandchildren, Ellie Percy, Rowan Percy, Maryn  Vigrass, Cale Watts, Lily Fogal, Pilot Cochran, Oakley Cochran, Blair Cochran, Annabelle Alderman, Sydney Alderman, Harvey Alderman, Robert Gates, Haley Gates, Aryan and Aiden Jones and Reagan and Cooper Jones.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Jones and second husband, John Russ, and grandchildren, Jason and Aubrey Jones.

Services:  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
