Dorothy Taylor Walker Sharpe died November 14, 2005 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Dorothy (Dot) was born in Roanoke, Virginia. She retired to Port St. Lucie in 1987.Dorothy retired from the Roanoke City Public School system where she served as Librarian/Media Specialist. She formerly worked in Botetaut County Schools as a Teacher and Librarian.Her first marriage of forty years to James C. Walker was blessed with three daughters. Her second marriage in 1991 was to Thomas I. Sharpe of Edenton, N.C. They resided in St. Lucie West, Florida.She is survived by her husband, Thomas; two daughters, Bettye-Jo Mayo of Port St. Lucie, Jimmye Claire Walker of Marietta, GA; three granddaughters, Brenda, Kimberly and Traci; one grandson, Garry; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise Kirby of Roanoke, VA; one niece, Jill (Alfred) Elliott; one nephew, Eric (Merita) Parham and many cousins and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters and one daughter, Leslie Cheryl Ross.
