Dorothy Elaine Thomas, 62, died May 27, 2012 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Kansas City, Kansas and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1970.
She retired from Bellsouth after 29 years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Communication Workers of America Local 3111. She enjoyed line dancing, fishing, sketching, and bowling.
Survivors include her husband, Leslie Thomas of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughters, Sandy Thomas-Freudenthal of Port St. Lucie, FL and Angela J. Thomas of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Jolene Simpson of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lesley Elaine Thomas and sisters, Mary Louise Hannon and Patricia Ann Vaughn.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Humane Society, 4100 SW Leighton Farm Avenue, Palm City, FL 34990 or to St. Jude Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 5-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
