Dorothy Beatrice (Crumley) Young, born February 11, 1929, Eustis, Florida, surrounded by her family and loved ones, passed into the Lord's hands on the morning of Thursday, June 30, 2016. She is survived by her son Robert and wife Cindy and family; son Richard and wife Mary and family; son Tim and family; daughter Theresa and husband Terry Carpenter and family; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Dorothy graduated from The University of Florida where she served as Panhellenic president and was the first woman honored in the UF Hall of Fame. She met Evert (a War College student) and reported he was the oldest (and best) man on campus she had ever dated. They made their homes in Jacksonville, FL, Delray Beach, FL, Sanibel, FL, Murphy, NC, Cocoa, FL, and The Villages, FL.

Dorothy was a Tour Guide through KLM Royal Dutch Airlines guiding trips to Europe and The Holy Lands. For a time she was a "purveyor of fine goods" in the Nantahala Gorge of North Carolina. She drove cuts to hospitals, mended scrapes and bruises, wiped dirty noses, put meat tenderizer on scorpion stings, and made a home that was the gathering place for every child in the neighborhood.

She and Ev decorated their lives with memorabilia obtained during a decade abroad in Germany and Abu Dhabi, UAE. She favoured Lucern, Switzerland. The richness of their lives will be not soon be forgotten by family or friends.
