Douglas "Doug" Dixon

Douglas “Doug” Dixon, 81, died October 7, 2015 in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Dixon was born in Athens, Tennessee and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1953 coming from Cleveland, Tennessee.
Prior to retirement, he worked in the Clerk of Courts Office for over 26 years and was appointed by the Governor as the Clerk of the Circuit Court from 1986-1992 and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. After his retirement, Doug was passionate about travel and was blessed to visit 77 countries.
Survivors include his partner & travel companion of 53 years, George Wiggin of Orlando, FL; sister, Lela Juanita McArthur of Ft. Pierce, FL; and brother, Thomas C. Dixon, Jr. of Ft. Pierce, FL. He was preceded in death by his father & mother, Thomas C. & Fannie Sue Dixon.

Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 4-6 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A service will be conducted on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
