Douglas J. Smith, 82, died August 1, 2014 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Smith was born in New Organ, New York and moved to Fort Pierce 30 years ago coming from Hamburg, New York.
He was a pipefitter and a member of the Pipefitters Union. He worked at Indian River Medical Center for 15 years. He loved to tinker.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Frances Smith; daughters, Jennie Tedder and Frances Boling; son, Frank L. Fulknier all of Fort Pierce, FL; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
