Dr. Brian A. Schneider was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, on July 13, 1957 and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Schneider passed away in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on August 17, 2023 at 66.
After graduating from Ben Davis High School (Indianapolis, Indiana) with the class of 1975, Dr. Schneider joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Homestead, FL, Guam, and Alaska during his years in the USAF working mainly in TV and radio broadcasting. He was married in Guam in 1977 and that union gave him two beautiful children that he raised in Port St. Lucie, FL. Dr. Schneider was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1980.
After being discharged, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1988 from Barry University and then earned his master’s degree in psychology in 1990 from Norwich University; he would continue his education and earn a PhD in Psychology.
Dr Schneider spent many years after USAF in commercial radio broadcasting, most notably moving to Port St. Lucie in 1980, where he put WQCS 88.7 (located at Indian River Community College), now currently 88.9, on the air. He was also a professor in broadcasting at IRCC (now Indian River State College) and a few other colleges.
He was a Miami Dolphins fanatic, lover of the holistic lifestyle, and authored two books, “Defeating Junk Food Addiction: A $150 Billion Epidemic” (written in 2011) and “The Alignment Focused Life” (written in 2021). His most recent interests included podcasting and Youtube.
He will be greatly missed by daughter, Alexis Schneider, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; son, Justin Schneider and wife, Jenamarie Henderson, of Stuart, Florida, grandchildren, Lanimarie Henderson-Schneider, Romare Henderson-Schneider, Xoliann Henderson-Schneider all of Stuart, Florida, and Belinda Sipos, sister of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was predeceased by his parents, father, Gary Schneider and mother, Jackie Schneider.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL a Celebration of Life will follow from 3PM to 5PM at the Haisley Tribute Center. Dr. Schneider will be laid to rest at a later date privately at the Lake Worth National Cemetery.
