Dr. James M. Hare, 88, died January 21, 2008 in Port St. Lucie, FL.Dr. Hare was born in Jersey City, NJ and moved to Port St. Lucie in 2006 coming from Vero Beach, FL.Prior to retirement in 1976 he was a professor at Millersville State College in Pennsylvania. He held a Doctorate from Temple University, Masters Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in History from Temple University and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Vero Beach and sang in the church choir. He enjoyed railroading and collecting coins and autographs.Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty A. Hare of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter and son-law, Helen & Gregory Wilson of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons and daughters-in-law, James M., Jr. & Melissa Hare & of Salem, NJ and William H. & Melody Hare of Vero Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
