Dr. Rogelio Gonzalez-Pena, age 91, passed away December 1, 2022, in Ft. Pierce, FL.
He was born March 2,1931 in Bustamante, Mexico. Dr. Gonzalez-Pena received his doctorate in Mexico and was board certified in several U.S. states. He became a medical doctor and met his wife, Sheila, in West Virginia. They married on February 14, 1968 and were married until Shelia's passing in 2010. He held a private family practice in Ft. Pierce from 1980-2003.
Dr. Gonzalez-Pena was a member of the American Medical Association and was involved in several clubs and organizations in St. Lucie County. He was a world traveler and enjoyed cruising, fishing, and being with family.
He is survived by his daughter, Polita (Chris) Lee, sons, Rogelio "Roje" Gonzalez (Andrea), Antonio (Carolina) Gonzalez and Juan Gonzalez. In addition, he is survived by six grandchildren: Amber Lee, Brandon Lee, Kara Lee, Alejandra Gonzalez, Rafael Gonzalez, and Evan Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia, parents, and six brothers and sisters in Mexico.
